Planning to Move? New Neighbours Moving In?
If you are planning to move to a new home in the spring or summer and hope your children can continue to attend Silverheights, check the boundaries first!  If you move out of the Silverheights school boundary area your child must attend the new school.  Principals are required to ensure that only students who live within the boundary may attend their school.  There are rare exceptions such as French Immersion schools.  However, for the majority of cases the WRDSB policy is clear-only students living in the boundary areas may attend a school.

If a house gets sold in your neighbourhood over the spring or summer, would you please help us out and encourage the new owners to contact the school to register their children for school as soon as possible.  It is so helpful in our planning and it allows us to make sure we are prepared for all students on the first day of school.

If you know of neighbours with little ones please share with them that children born in 2008 are eligible to attend Junior Kindergarten in September 2012.  Those born in 2007 are eligible for the Senior Kindergarten program.   Parents of eligible children are asked to contact the school as soon as possible to set up an appointment to register their students for school.  Those children currently attending the Junior Kindergarten program at Silverheights Public School will automatically be enrolled in Senior Kindergarten
